Overcoming Runner's Diarrhea

Pages 63-68 | Published online: 18 Dec 2017

In brief

Diagnosis rests on an accurate history and selective investigation to exclude disease. Treatment may include explanation, reassurance, defecation before running, dietary changes, adequate hydration, and, occasionally, antidiarrheals.
