Abstract

In brief Treatment of a patient with a brief musculoskeletal injury should include a rehabilitation program. Physicians can help patients who have relatively minor injuries rehabilitate at home by directing them through seven basic steps in which the patients regain normal range of motion, strength, endurance, power and speed, proprioception, and individual and group sport skills—while maintaining their cardiovascular endurance. No special equipment is needed.
