Synthesis and Characterization of New Polyamides Containing Pyridine Thioether Units in the Main Chain under Microwave Irradiation (MW) and their Nanostructures

Pages 175-180 | Received 12 Jan 2011, Accepted 17 Sep 2011, Published online: 14 Jan 2013

Abstract

New polyamides containing pyridine thioethers were prepared under microwave irradiation and their solubility, thermal behavior, viscosity, and nanostructures were evaluated. These polyamides showed good solubility, viscosity, and high thermal stability. The sizes of polymer species were evaluated using their SEM images.
