Summary
Male and female Rorschach protocols were blindly identified by name from 29 schizophrenic patients, 13 men, 16 women, after gaining information about each patient's personal, social, and psychological functioning from psychiatric interviews conducted at the time of hospitalization, six months, and one year later. Only the sex of the patient was known before the identification of each protocol. Nine out of 13 men (p = .000001) and six out of 16 women (p = .0005) were correctly identified. Brevity of the protocol was the most important factor in mis-identification.
