Abstract
Congenital agenesis of the penis may be total or, in variable degree, partial. Partial agenesis, or micropenis, pertains specifically to the corpus of the penis, with the glans, skin, urethra, and urethral meatus intact. Micropenis may occur also in association with hypospadias and epispadias. Sex assignment as a female at birth, and surgical, hormonal and psychologic habilitation is the treatment of choice. When sex assignment is as a male, with early gender identity/role differentiation as masculine, then a juvenile-sized prosthetic penis should be prescribed, as in the case reported.
