Abstract
Let A be a prime ring with involution *Kbe its set of skew element, and R be a noncentral Lie ideal of K. Further, let Q be the maximal right ring of quotients of A and be maps. We study functional identities of the form

etc). In case A does not satisfy the standard identity of degree ≤ 4(m + 1), definitive results are obtained.
