Pages 2048-2054 | Received 16 Aug 2011, Published online: 14 May 2013

Abstract

Let π”ž be an ideal of a commutative Noetherian ring R and M a finitely generated R-module. The finiteness dimension of M relative to π”ž is defined by

where is the i-th local cohomology with respect to π”ž. The aim of this paper is to show that if x 1,…, x t is an π”ž-filter regular sequence of M with t β‰€ f π”ž(M), then the set
is finite.
