On the characterization of some non-abelian simple groups with few codegrees

Abstract

Let G be a finite group and χIrr(G). The codegree of χ is defined as cod(χ)=|G:ker(χ)|χ(1) and cod(G)={cod(χ)|χIrr(G)} is called the set of codegrees of G. In this paper, we show that the set of codegrees of M11,M12,M22,M23, and PSL(3,3) determines the group up to isomorphism.
