Abstract

In [3], a class of non-chromatic finite local rings (R,m) is given. It is proved that if R has prime residue field Fp and p ≥ 3,then , moreover,χ(R)=p2+2 for p = 2,3,5. Here we have shown that, in general, χ(R)≠p2+2 by showing that χ(R)=p2+3 for p = 7.
