On principally hereditary radicals

Abstract

We prove that a left strong radical', which is principally right hereditary, is principally left hereditary, and construct an example of a principally right hereditary radical which is not principally left hereditary. Our results answer to two questions of Sands Mid a question of Sands and Jaegermann.
