Abstract
The iron(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II) and zinc(II) complexes of l-crotonyl-2,4-diaza-l,3-bainedione (cru) have been prepared. They have been characterized by elemental analyses, conductance, room temperature magnetic susceptibility, infrared, electronic, 1H and 13C NMR spectral data. Based on the analytical data, the stoichiometry of the complexes is 1:2. The conductivity shows that all of these complexes are non-electrolytes. The studies indicate that the geometry around the metal ion of the complexes is octahedral.
