Synthesis and Characterization of Some New Organotin(Iv) Complexes of a Schiff Base Derived from Salicylaldehyde and Hydrazine Hydrate

Abstract

Herein are described the synthesis and characterization of the complexes of the formulae R₃SnL and R₂SnL_n Cl_2-n where R = Ph, n-Bu and L = N,N′-hydrazinebis(salicylideneimine). All the complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight determinations and spectroscopic (IR, ₁H, ¹³C and ¹¹⁹Sn NMR) studies.
