Abstract
[AsPh4][Cr(CO)5SnF3] has been prepared starting from Cr(CO)6 and [AsPh4][SnF3]. The analogous molybdenum compound [NEt4][Mo(CO)5SnF3] has been obtained by halide exchange in [NEt4][Mo(CO)5SnCl3] with AgBF4. The aame procedure has been used to prepare C5H5Fe(CO)2SnF3. The chemical properties and the infrared data of the SnF3 compounds are similar to those of the corresponding complexes with other SnX3 groups (X = C1, Br, I) as ligands.
