Abstract
The synthesis of the complexes cis-(R3P) (R′3P)PdCl2, where R3P and R′3P are combinations of (CH3)2PC6H5, (CH3O)2PC6H5, (CH3O)3P, C6H5CH2OP(C6H5)2, (C6H5CH2O)2PC6H5, (C6H5CH2O)3P, (C6H5)3P, (C6H5CH2)3P, and (C6H5O)3P are reported. These new complexes have been characterized by 'H nmr and melting points. They all disproportionate in solution to varying extents according to the reaction 2(R3P) (R′3P)PdCl2 ⇄ (R3P)2PdCl2 + (R′3P)2PdCl2 which is the reverse of their preparation.
