Abstract
4-Amino-m-carborane and 2-amino-m-carborane were prepared by isomerization of 3-amino-o-carboranes in the gas phase under vacuum at 550–600°. Heating of 3-amino-o-carborane at 200–250° gives bis(o-carboranyl)-amine. Isomerization of 2-and 4-amino-m-carboranes via dicarbadodecaborane dianions (14) in liquid ammonia leads to 3-amino-o-carbomane.
