Abstract
Twelve organotin mono- and dithiocarboxylates of the types R3 Sn-S(O)CPh (R= Ph, Cyh),R2Sn [S(O)CPh]2 (R- Me, Bu), R3SnS2C-R' (R= Ph, Cyh; R'= Ph, PhCH2, p-BrC'6H4)and R2Sn(S2CR')2 (R= Me, Bu; R'= Ph, PhCH2) have been synthesised by double exchange reaction. The compounds were characterized by infrared, ultraviolet-visible spectra and NMR spectra. The data show that in monothiocarboxylates the tin atom is bonded through sulfur to the R'COS ligand.
