Further Reactions of Bridge-Substituted Ditertiary Arsines and Phosphines with Metal Carbonyls and Compounds of Platinum and Palladium

Abstract

The ditertiary phosphines n = 2, la; 3, lb, 2 and the ditertiary arsines R₂R′SiCHAs(CH₃)₂CH₂As(CH₃)₂ R = R′ = CH₃, 3a; R = R′ = Cl, 3b; R = Cl, R′ = CH₃, 3c; R = R′ = C₂H₅O were studied. Mn₂(CO)₁₀ gave the derivatives Mn₂(CO₈(L-L) (bridged for L-L = lb and 3a) and Mn₂(CO)6(L-L)₂. Other chelate derivatives such as (L-L)Mo(CO)₄ (L-L = 3b), (L-L)PdCl₂((L-L) = 2), and (L-L)₂Pt(L-L = la) are described.
