Synthesis of Cr(iii) Porphyrin Complexes and Their 51Cr Labeled Congeners

Pages 147-161 | Received 19 Sep 1979, Accepted 19 Nov 1979, Published online: 03 Jan 2007

Abstract

A synthetic procedure (utilizing salts of the air-sensitive and kinetically labile Cr(II) ion as the starting source of Cr) was developed for the preparation of Cr(III) porphyrin complexes. Application of this method made it possible to synthesize chemically pure Cr labeled Cr(III) porphyrin complexes on a small scale (10 −8 mole).
