A series of (C13H9)2M(S2COR)Cl compounds where M = Ti or Zr; R = Me, Et or i-Pr have been prepared by the reaction of (C13H9)2MCl2 with ROCS2 −K+ in dimethoxyethane. A study of conductivity measurements reveals that the complexes are non-electrolytes in nitrobenzene. IR and 1H NMR spectral studies have also been carried out for these complexes.
