Abstract
Reactions of trichloroarsine and alkoxychloroarsines, (R′O)3-nAsCln, (n = 1,2 and 3), with dialkylphosphonates in the presence of triethylamine yield products of the type AsL3 ROAsL2 and (RO)2AsL, where L = [(RO)2P(O)], as colored, oily liquids which are miscible with common organic solvents. The mixed derivatives are susceptible to hydrolysis even by atmospheric moisture. The new compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR measurements.
