Abstract
Symmetrically substituted ferrocenylamine derivatives of the general type Fe(n5−C5H4CH(R)NR′2)2 have been prepared from the ferrocene diol Fe(n5−C5H4CH(R)OH)2 by treatment of the latter with HBr and HNR′2 sequentially. In addition some unsymmetrically substituted ferrocene derivatives such as (n5−C5H4CH:CH2)Fe(n5−C5H4CH(R)NR'2) have been obtained where R=Me.
