Abstract
Iron(II) complexes with acetaldoxime (acox) and benzaldoxime (bzox) and iron(III) complexes with acetoxime, 2-butanone oxime and 3-pentanone oxime have been synthesized and characterized by spectral, magnetic and conductivity measurements as well as elemental analyses. These measurements indicate that the complexes FeX2−(acox)4, FeCl2(bzox)4 and FeCl2(bzox)2(MeOH)2, X being Cl and Br, have a six-coordinate trans-configuration of a high-spin type and that the complexes FeX3(ketoxime)2 consist of tetrahedral complexes [FeX2(ketoxime)2]+ and counter halide ions.
