Abstract

The title compounds of the type C₆H₅(CH₂)₃Si(CH₃)_3-nCl_n (n = 1–3) have been prepared in good yields by regioselective hydrosilylation of allylbenzene by the corresponding silanes (CH₃)_3-nSiHCl_n (n = 1–3), using the H₂PtCl₆ + P(C₆H₅)₃ system as catalyst.
