Abstract
Four new macrocyclic vic-dioximes, dibenzo[e,k]-2,3-bis(hydroxyimino)-1,4-diaza-7,10-dioxa-2,3,8,9-tetrahydrocyclododecine (ODIH2), dibenzo[e,n]-2,3-bis(hydroxyimino)-1,4-diaza-7,10,13-trioxa-2,3,8,9,11,12-hexahydrocyclopentadecine (OTRH2), dibenzo[e,q]-2,3-bis(hydroxyimino)-1,4-diaza-7,10,13,16-tetraoxa-2,3,8,9,11,12,14,15-octahydrocyclo-octadecine (OTEH2), and dibenzo[e,t]-2,3-bis(hydroxyimino)-1,4-diaza-7,10,13,16,19-pentaoxa-2,3,8,9,11,12,14,15,17,18-decahydrocycloheneicosine (OPTH2) have been synthesized from anti-dichloroglyoxime and the corresponding l,ω-diamines. All these dioximes are in anti-form according to i.r. and H n.m.r. spectral data. The interaction of macrocycles with alkali salts are weak as expected since 2 aza-groups are present. Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), and UO2(VI) complexes of four vic-dioximes have been isolated and their structures have been determined by using i.r., u.v.-vis. spectra and elemental analyses.
