Abstract
Some heterobimetallic bis(trithiocarbonates) of the type MM′(CS3)2 (M′-Ni(II), M-Zn(II), Cd(II), 2Ag(I), 2Tl(I) or UO2(VI); for M′-Zn(II), M-VO(IV), Cu(II) or Fe(II), CS2- 3 -trithfocarbonate anion] have been prepared for the first time and characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility, X-ray diffraction, electronic and infrared spectral measurements. Magnetic and electronic spectral studies indicate square planar geometry around Fe(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and square pyramidal environment around vanadium.
