Abstract
Many oxovanadium(IV) complexes of tridentate dibasic ONO donor Schiff bases derived from salicylaldehyde derivatives and alkanolamines have been synthesized and fully characterized by elemental analysis, infrared and electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements, molecular weight determination, and thermal analysis. The structures for these complexes are multinu-clear in the solid state and binuclear in 1,2-dichloroethane solution. In pyridine solution, their multinu-clear structure is broken and uninuclear pyridine adducts are formed.
