Reactions of the Coordinated Mercaptide Group. IV. Reactions of Alkyl Iodides on Bis(Thiosemicarbazonato) Chelates of Nickel(II)

Abstract

Reactions of alkyl iodides were carried out with bis(thiosemicarbazonato)nickel complexes of acetone and ethylmethylketone thiosemicarbazones. The reactions are taking place at the coordinated mercaptide group forming thioethers in situ. The products which are obtained during the reactions are characterised by elemental analyses, magnetic moments, i.r. and electronic spectral studies.
