Abstract

The synthesis of bis(tetrabutylammonium)-bis(2-thione-1,3-dithiole-4,5-diselenolato)nickelate(II) (1) is reported. A general reaction scheme for the preparation of 4,5-alkylseleno-1,3-dithiole-2-thione is described and exemplified with the synthesis of 4,5-methylenediseleno-1,3-dithiole-2-thione.
