Abstract

Substituted and substituted mixed tetrahalo-manganates(II) of the type R[MnLX₃] and R[MnLX₂Y] (where R = (C₂H₅)₄N, (n-C₃H₇)₄N, (n-C₄H₉)₄N, (C₆H₅)₄P or (C₆H₅)₄ As; L = quinoline or triphenylphosphine, X and Y = Cl, Br or I) have been isolated and characterized. From spectral and magnetic studies, these complexes are found to possess tetrahedrally coordinated Mn(II) ion.
