Abstract
Germanium complexes [M X2L2]X2 (M[dbnd]Ge(IV); L= 1,7-heptamethy-lenediamine (hn), 1,8-octamethylenediamine (on), 1,9-nonamethyle-nediamine (nn), 1,10-decamethylenediamine (dn) and X[dbnd]Cl-) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, i.r. spectroscopy, magnetic measurements, molar conductance and thermal techniques. The organic ligands are presumed to be bidentate and bridging, and a trans octahedral structure with four amine and two chloride donors has been assigned.
