Abstract
Two new groups of Cu(II) phosphonium salt complexes of the type [((Ph3P+CH2COR)X−)2CuCl2] and [(Ph3P+CH2CORX−)CuCl2] have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, conductance and ir spectra. Measurements of ligand and electron paramagnetic resonance spectra were also carried out in order to throw more light on the geometry around the Cu(II) ion.
