Abstract
Pyrrole-2-thiocarboxamide, HNC4H3C(S)NH2 (ptca), complexes having 1:2 metal-ligand stoichiometry have been prepared and cnaracterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, electronic, esr, ir and nmr (1H and 13C) spectral studies. Tetrahedral stereochemistry around Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) anHg(II) and five coordinate geometry around Cu(II) have been proposed on the basis of magnetic and spectral studies.
