Derivatives of Dithiooxamides, Synthesis of Their Ni(II), Co(II), Cu(II) Complexes and Investigation of Their Structure

Abstract

In this work, N,N′-bis(2-hydroxyphenyl)dithiooxamide (BDOH₄), N,N′-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)dithiooxamide (BPDH₂) and N,N′-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)dithiooxamide dihydrochloride (BPDH₂·2HCl), were synthesized. The complexes of these ligands with Ni(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) were prepared. The structure of the ligands as well as their metal complexes were studied employing ¹H NMR, IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis, respectively.
