Abstract
Mononuclear complexes of the type (Ph3P)2MLX, where M = Cu, Ag; X = Cl, Br; L = dithiooxamide, thiourea. aminothiourea, have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses and IR spectra. The X-ray crystallographic structure determination of (Ph3P)2Cu(C2H4N2S2)Br is reported. Dithiooxamide acts as a monodentate ligand through one S atom coordinated to Cu. The coordination of the Cu atom is a distorted tetrahedron with a Cu-Br distance of 2.482(3) and Cu-S distance of 2.356(5) A.
