Abstract

Formylferrocenyl salicyloylhydrazone and its coordination compounds with copper(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II), cadmium(II), zinc(II), and manganese(II) have been synthesised. The composition and properties of the ligand and complexes and the bonding mode of the ligand with metal ions have been studied by elemental analyses, IR, 1H NMR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, thermal analyses and molar conductivities.
