Abstract
A new macrocyclic ligand (HL) has been synthesized by the reaction of 4′-acetyl(benzo-15-crown-5) with hydroxylamine hydrochloride. The copper(II), nickel(II), cobalt(II) and uranyl(VI) complexes of the 4′-acetyl(benzo-15-crown-5)-oxime (16-acetylhydroxyimino-2,3,5,6,8,9,11,12-octahydrobenzo(1,4,7,10,13)pentaoxa-cyclopentadecine) have been prepared, characterized and studied potentiometrically at 25 °C, I = 1.0 M KNO3. Protonation constants of the ligand and overall formation constants have been calculated fiom potentiometric data using the program TITFIT.
