Abstract
The Schiff base N-salicylaldehyde-D-glucosamine, H2L1, its complexes with Co(III), Cu(II) and Zn(II), as well as the Co(III), Cu(II), Zn(II) complexes of N-O-vanillin-D-glucosamine, H2L2, have been synthesized. These compounds have been characterized on the basis of their elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, infrared, UV-visible and 1H NMR spectral data.
