Abstract

Normal coordinate analyses and CNDO/II (complete neglect of differential overlap) calculations for diacetyl monoxime. its semicarbazone and thiosemicarbazone derivatives are reported. The synthesis and characterization of 1.1 (metal ligand ratio) complexes of the semicarbazone and thiosemicarbazone are presented The ease of formation of the said complexes with these ligands are discussed The preparation and characterisation of the Ni(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes of diacetyl monoxime are included here also.
