Abstract
New organotin(IV) complexes of the types. RnSnLni [where n = 3, m = 1, R = C6H5. CH3 or C4H9; n = 2, m = 2, R = C6H5 or C4H9 and L = anion of N-acetylglycine (HL1) and N-acetyl-dl.-tryptophan (HL2)], (R3Sn)2L [where R = C6H5, CH3 or C4H9 and L' = anion of N-acetyl-l-cysteine (H2L3)], R2SnL' [where R = C4H9 or C4H9 and L' = anion of (H2L3)] and Bu2(L)SnOSn(L)Bu2 [where L = anion of (HL1)] have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance. electronic. infrared, far-infrared, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and 119Sn Mössbauer spectral studies. Thermal studies of three complexes have been carried out in the temperature range 18-1000°C using TG, DTG and DTA techniques. Possible structures of the complexes have also been proposed.
