A Method for the Preparation of the cis-Bis(Glycinato)Copper(II) Monohydrate Complex in the Solid State

Abstract

A method has been described for the preparation of the bis(glycinato)copper(II) monohydrate complex in the cis form in the solid state. The complex was characterised by IR spectra, elemental analyses and X-ray spectroscopy using a compact X-ray diffraction analyser. The blue complex prepared in the solid phase has an identical structure when compared with one prepared by the wet method.
