Regulating Videogames: Mixed Results in the Courts

Abstract

Electronic videogames were originally introduced in Japan several years ago. In the last three years, the games have been mass marketed in this country both as home entertainment and as commercial, coin-operated amusements. Such popular videogames as Scramble, Asteroids, Space-Invaders, Gorf and Pac-Man can now be found in shopping malls, bowling alleys, roller rinks, laundromats, restaurants, theaters, and neighborhood grocery stores throughout the country.
