Abstract
Friday, May 29, 1998, marked the 25th anniversary of Oregon State Senate Bill 100, the bill that first mandated Oregon's statewide land-use planning and established itshistoric land-use program. SB 100 followed on the heels of Oregon's 1967 Beach Bill, protecting access to coveted beach areas, and the 1969 passage of SB 10, which guided local efforts to accom-modate growth while protecting farm and forest land.
