Evaluating Environmental Education Programs Using Case Studies

Pages 3-8 | Published online: 15 Jul 2010

Abstract

Education programs must be evaluated in order to assess their worth and monitor performance. Few environmental education programs have been evaluated, for several reasons including lack of a suitable evaluation method. Evaluation of the Master of Environmental Science program at Monash University (Australia) provided the opportunity to assess the case-study method of evaluation. The design of the evaluation is discussed, and use of multiple sources of data and an innovative style are highlighted.
