Abstract
Organotin‐substituted Keggin or Dawson tungstophosphates [(CH3OOCCH2CH2Sn)3–(PW9 O34)2]9−, [(CH3OOCCH2CH2Sn)PW11O39]4−, [(CH3OOCCH2CH2Sn)P2 W17O61]7−, [(CH3OOCCH(CH3)CH2Sn)3(PW9 O34)2]9−, [(CH3OOCCH(CH3)CH2Sn)PW11O39]4− and [(CH3OOCCH(CH3)CH2Sn)P2W17 O61]7− have been prepared by reactions of the β–methoxycarbonylethyltin, β-methoxycarbonyl-i-propyltin trichlorides with PW9O34 9-−, PW11O39 7− and P2W17O61 10−, respectively. The products were isolated as K +, and Bu4N+ salts, and were characterized by means of elemental analysis, IR 1H NMR, 183W NMR and 119Sn NMR spectra, and polarography. The antitumour activity of the complexes as investigated and the effect of the polyanions and estertin on antitumour activity was examined.
