Abstract
In the current study, via applying the mixed-ligand method, a new metal-organic framework (MOF) containing Tb was hydrothermally synthesized and characterized; its chemical formula is {[Tb(dpc)(H2O)2]·(Hbibp)0.5}n (1, in which bibp = 4,4′-bis(imidazolyl) biphenyl and H4dpc = 2-(3′,4′-dicarboxylphenoxy) isophthalic acid). The as-produced 1 reveals significant sensitivity and remarkable selectivity for the detection of PO43– as a kind of easy-to-use fluorescent probe having extensive range of detection, rapid response, and low limit of detection. The Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacterial burdens were measured with the spread plate method. In addition to this, real time RT-PCR was implemented for the evaluation of the survival genes relative expression levels in the Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The carboxyl-rich metal complex was further evaluated by molecular docking simulation which confirmed that multiple binding interactions were formed with active sites from the target protein.
