Abstract
The crystal and molecular structure of a macrocyclic complex [T1(18-crown-6){BCO}], where {BCO} = {ONC(CN)C(O)Ph} − (space group P212121, with a = 8.072(2), b = 14.614(4), c = 20.691(4)Å, Z = 4), has been determined. The structure was refined by least-squares methods to a final R of 0.027 for 1890 reflections with I > 3σ(I). The structure is made up of isolated T1(18-crown-6) {BCO} molecules in which the thallium forms seven close contacts with oxygen atoms which surround metal atom in an irregular fashion.
