Abstract
The present paper deals with the isolation of mixed ligand chelates of the type CdAL, where A = 2, 2′-bipyridylamine and L = phenols such as catechol (catecholato-2) pyrogallol (pyro-gallolato-3), 2, 3-dihydroxy naphthalene (2, 3-dihydroxy naphthalato-2) or protocatechuic acid (protocatechuato-3). The antimicrobial activity of 2, 2′-bipyridylamine and the CdAL mixed ligand chelates is described.
