Abstract
The acute toxicity of dimethyl-amine-borane, together with the acute toxicity of pyridine-borane and tri-methylamine-borane, are reported. On a weight basis, the order of toxicity was found to be dimethyla-mine-pyridine-trimethylamine-borane. However, when expressed in terms of mgB/kg, the LD50 values form two distinct groups. Recalculation of available toxicity data for other boranes enables them to be classified in the same system.
