Pages 17-22 | Published online: 08 Mar 2013

Abstract

Proper evaluation of the effects of health promotion programs is essential to the development of viable worksite promotion programs. In this paper we discuss several concerns with the methods currently engaged for the evaluation of health promotion programs. These concerns involve three aspects of program evaluation: design, measurements, and analysis. These concerns and suggestions for improved evaluation are discussed in general terms and in the context of a specific health promotion program.
