KINETICS OF SUCROSE INVERSION BY INVERTASE-MULTIPLE STEADY STATES IN A CSTR

Abstract

The kinetics of a substrate-inhibited enzymatic reaction-sucrose inversion by invertase was studied in this work. For this system, the existence of two stable steady states in a CSTR was verified experimentally under the condition predicted by previous theoretical analysis. Mathematical relations were derived to enable one to use multiple steady states information For parameter estimation. The values obtained by this method were compared with that obtained by other methods and discussed.
